Accessibility at Neuro Alchemy Lab
We want this site — and the work behind it — to be usable by everyone. Here is where we are, what we are working on, and how to ask for what you need.
Our commitment
Neuro Alchemy Lab is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of disability, technology, or ability. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We also work towards compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), Directive (EU) 2019/882, which applies to digital services across the European Union.
Conformance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. 'Partially conformant' means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working to identify and fix these gaps, and we publish updates to this statement when significant improvements are made.
| Standard | Conformance |
|---|---|
| WCAG 2.1 Level A | Substantially conformant |
| WCAG 2.1 Level AA | Partially conformant — in progress |
| WCAG 2.1 Level AAA | Selected criteria only |
What is currently in place
- All meaningful images have descriptive alt text
- Heading hierarchy is logical (one
h1per page, properly nestedh2/h3) - Text colour contrast meets WCAG AA (4.5:1 minimum for body text)
- Forms have visible labels and accessible error messages
- The site is keyboard-navigable (tab through all interactive elements)
- Focus states are visible on interactive elements
- The site is responsive and usable on screen sizes from 320px upward
- Pages are usable with browser zoom up to 200% without horizontal scrolling
- The site loads and is usable with JavaScript disabled (core content)
- Language attributes are set correctly on each page (
lang="en",lang="fr",lang="ar"where appropriate) - Arabic content uses proper RTL (right-to-left) layout
- No content flashes more than 3 times per second (no seizure risk)
What we are working on
- Adding skip-to-main-content link on every page
- Improving screen-reader announcements for dynamic content (booking form submissions)
- Adding closed captions to all NAL Podcast episodes hosted on YouTube
- Providing written transcripts of all podcast episodes
- Refining the Arabic RTL experience across the booking form and newsletter signup
- Improving keyboard navigation on the mobile menu
- Adding ARIA landmarks (
<nav>,<main>,<footer>, etc.) consistently across all pages
We aim to address these by the end of Q4 2026. Progress is published in this statement.

Requesting accommodations for clinical sessions
If you need accommodations to access clinical sessions — for example, a sign-language interpreter, written transcripts, longer session times, screen-reader-friendly worksheets, or large-print versions of intake materials — please tell us at booking. Email accessibility@naltherapy.com or mention it in the booking form. We will make reasonable adjustments and confirm what is possible before the first session.

Technical specifications and limitations
This site is built with standard HTML5, CSS3, and minimal JavaScript. It is tested in the latest two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and on iOS Safari and Android Chrome.
Known limitations: third-party embedded content (Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, podcast players) inherits the accessibility properties of those platforms and may not fully conform to our standards. We will replace or supplement these where alternatives exist.
Date of this statement
